Meet Your Legislative Reps

The Division Legislative Representative has important duties and responsibilities concerning the safety and well-being of the members. They are responsible for ensuring a safe working environment and providing political education to Division members.

 

In their regular duties, the Legislative Representative will monitor the enforcement of safety rules, regulations, and laws at the Division level to maintain a healthy workplace for our members. If any safety or sanitation issues arise that cannot be resolved within the Division, they will report them to the Provincial Legislative Board Chairman for further action. The Provincial Chairman will take appropriate measures to address these concerns. If the issues remain unresolved, they will be escalated to the National Legislative Board Chairman for further handling.

Furthermore, the Legislative Representative or their designate(s) will serve as Representative(s) for the Joint Health and Safety Committee, further emphasizing their role in ensuring the members' well-being and safety.
